Taipei 6D5N with 13mo infant - Day 1

Finally had the chance to travel after sooooooo long since my pregnancy. This time is to celebrate my birthday and also its the first ever we fly together as a family!! Bringing along a 13mo is quite an experience for me. But lil pumpkin has always been an easy going girl so it was really a wonderful trip with her.


Day 1

Lil pumpkin hugging her smelly bolster to sleep. we were lucky as we had an empty seat next to us so lil pumpkin can sleep in between us. or else we have to take turns to carry her for the whole flight because infant below 2yo only pay a small amount of airfare and no seat are given to them. We had a very easy going lil pumpkin the whole flight as she slept thru it.

 Arrived at TaoYuan International Airport.

 

Upon arrival, we then head straight to the mobile simcard counter after attended our luggage. It is cheaper to buy simpack here in the airport compare to outside so all of us got our simpack rightaway here. 

 

Checkin in to our hotel room. ;)

 

Very clean and tidy place. and it looks quite new too. The girl at the reception was so friendly and nice. Not to mention that they are so thoughtful that when they see lil pumpkin, they straightaway asked the cleaner to carry a bath tub to our room and change us to a bigger size room so we could have more space to move around. 

 

This is the smaller room which JY's bro and gf stay. I didnt manage to take a photo of our room because i was carrying lil pumpkin and we were rushing to clean lil pumpkin and out for our first destination. We came back with very messy room as you know with a baby, there wont be any tidy space at all. hehehe. 

 

A queen size bed. 

 Other than that, the hotel actually provides washing machine and dryer in a public area. There are even free washing powder to use for free. You need coins to operate the machines tho. but its still very convenient for me. I love laundry services when travelling with baby. It really helps alot. There even provide hot and cold drinking water and a microwave too.

Our first destination is Wu Fen Pu. We had our first lunch at 胡须张 at the corner of Wu Fen Pu. Talking about how i missed lu rou fan. Must indulge in it right after landed. hehe! After a long walk at the street. We went back to our hotel to unload our shopping bags and shower before we go out for dinner and shop again. =D

We randomly went into some japanese restaurant in Xi Men Ding for dinner. 

 After a round of street food in Xi Men Ding. We then quickly proceed to our next destination again.

We going up a Ferris Wheel. 

Ferris Wheel is very meaningful and its related to how we were treated in life.There are times when we are up at the highest peak and there are times we will be down at the bottom of everything. Thats life. We have to be humble and be ready for the worse when we are at the highest peak in life. At times when we were down at the bottom, we dont give up, we fight for the better. There wont be happiness and successful in life all the time. we need to learn how to tackle problems and face them too. Thats why I love Ferris Wheel, and the story behind it.

After a round of sight seeing in the Ferris wheel. we then head back to our hotel and call it a day.
